i am here to express some form of dissatisfaction.
please take this from a point of view of a qunying laoren, not president of txy.
i want to tell you guys a story.
5 years ago before my batch (R20) came in to TXY,
Qunying was on the verge of rotting.
no, not on the verge of rotting. practically rotting
to the extent that even the guwens said
"如果今年你们在拿不到好的人,我们不知道怎么帮你们了"
this was how bad qunying was 5 years ago.
and our leaders then, aileen and xinying (yes, lee xinying) were quite stressed up, because the stake of the group is on their hands
5 years ago, qunying was this bad.
no one came for activities, our huixun was so badly criticized by the chubans then, we never had a chance to get nominated for best huixun award, not even to think about getting the award itself.
that year, when i attended banjiang, i saw other groups snapping up all the awards, and our people didn't even manage to win just a best newbie award.
that year when i attended banjiang, i found out that qunying has NEVER won best group before in 20+ years of txy history.
then came my batch, R20.
when i came in, my batch was nothing like what seniors had described about qunying
what i saw was a really vibrant group of people
who was very active in all the events
who started taking up leadership roles in zhongyang the year we came in
(i meant qingxiang who got selected for zuzhang on the year he came in)
seniors liked hanging out with us
we had friendly relations with other groups
and our xinma camp attendance was the largest among all groups
just people from qunying alone made up 25 people, which is almost as huge as a committee size.
the following year's yingxin when i went into the room to help xiubing "snatch" people
i heard other group leaders comment
"qunying is getting stronger this year. good good".
i felt so happy because our efforts were recognized.
and i secretly felt proud of our group, because we were back in the competition for best group
and that year, we really did.
we got best group. for the first time in 24 years.
all of us were so happy.
xiubing and qingxiang (our leaders then) were so ecstatic that i think they almost cried when we got it
that year, R21 got in.
they were not bad as well.
even though ultimately their survival rate was down to 2
chunhui and zhiyao.
but there were times when they were quite strong
high attendance rate, high quality huixun produced
and that year, most of the people stepped up to leadership role in zhongyang
i became huodong, meizhu became leader, qingxiang continued to be leader
that year, qunying had the most number of people in zhongyang
aileen was huodong, xinying was secretary, i was huodong, 2 leaders, xiaohan was president, biaogang was IT.
we call that, our glorious year.
and the banjiang that year,
our huixun finally got nominated for best huixun
we didn't expect the get any award (well we didn't get it anyway)
but we just wanted to be nominated
and we did.
that year, we got best group AGAIN
no one believed it.
we thought other groups were better
we couldn't see ourselves as good as the others
that year was 25th anniversary
then came the year i stepped up to be VP
we all saw the crisis qunying was heading to.
and i told myself, i must not let qunying go down.
im sorry, i did.
but i have to say, i really am very disappointed in some people
i see some people with great enthusiasm and working really hard to bring up qunying
but there are people there pulling them down
its not easy managing a group
especially when you are not the one with the deciding power
but i see your hardwork
and i feel the pain for you guys
because it seems as though whatever you are doing are not being appreciated
how did qunying become like that
i really hope to see some form of life in qunying
can you guys do it?
